Harrisburg Woman Busted for Brass Knuckles
Carmi Police made a traffic stop shortly before 3 Monday afternoon with the result being the arrest of a Harrisburg woman.
Sarah A. Bohnert, 29 of rural Harrisburg, was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license. A search of her vehicle revealed a set of brass knuckles, that became an additional charge of unlawful use of weapons for possessing the brass knuckles.
Bohnert posted $150 cash bond and a $20 booking fee prior to being released from custody.
Later Monday night, local authorities arrested Michial L. Thomas, 22 of 610 W. Fackney Street, Carmi on a White County warrant.
The failure to appear warrant was issued after Thomas failed to register as a sex offender as required by law.
Bond was set at $500, and Thomas remained in custody early Tuesday
