Gun Meeting Tonight
Illinois’ newly-elected 109th District Representative Darren Bailey, along with Illinois Senator (55th District) Dale Righter, White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, and White County Sheriff Doug Maier will be the featured guest speakers at a community meeting on this evening, March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mule Days building on Main Street in Enfield.
A flood of proposed new gun control legislation in Springfield has prompted concern among White County gun owners about the status of their firearm ownership and use. The state legislators and local authorities will be there to answer any questions citizens may have.
Senator Dale Righter has represented the 55th district since 2003.The 55th district includes Clay, Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Edwards, Effingham, Jasper, Lawrence, Richland, Wabash, Wayne and White Counties.
The 109th Representative District covers Jasper, Effingham, Clay, Richland, Lawrence, Wabash, Wayne, Edwards, and White Counties.
