The Carmi Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce this year’s Gingerbread House Decorating Contest as part of It’s a White County Christmas. The contest is open to any resident of White County. Individuals or groups may enter. Entries must be turned in from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, November 20 at the Chamber of Commerce office, located at 225 E Main Street in Carmi. Entry forms are available online at www.whitecountychristmas.com or by calling the Chamber office at 382-7606.
There are five divisions for individual entries: made from scratch, age 13 and older; made from kit, age 8 and under, age 9-13, age 14-17 and age 18 and up. There is also a division for entries made by a family. Winners in each category will receive Carmi Dollars.
A Gingerbread House Workshop will be held on November 19, 2015 at the University of Illinois Extension office. For more information on the workshop, please call 382-2662.
