Illinois State Police District 19 troopers responded to an accident Friday night that sent an Albion woman to the hospital.
According to the preliminary crash report, Vernon Henze of Mt. Carmel was driving west on Illinois Route 15 at County Road 1300N in heavy rain at 8:00 pm, when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Beverly Vallette of Albion. Vallette was transported from the scene by Wabash General Hospital Ambulance Service. Henze was cited for improper lane usage.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Bellmont Fire Department and Rick’s Towing.
