Each month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has exemplified outstanding patient care and customer service internally and externally.
In April, Melissa DeSanti, CPC, was named Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Employee of the Month. As a Coding Specialist working in Health Information, Melissa continually strives to ensure not only her job is finished, but also jumps in to help her coworkers finish up their day also. In addition to providing support to internal customers, she gives 110% to serving the patients who come to the office needing to sign a medical release or who may have billing questions. Her coworkers express how extremely detail oriented and very thorough she is with her job.
“Melissa often lends a helping hand to her coworkers every chance she gets. She is known to pick up additional work and is very well respected by her peers and the physicians. We are fortunate to have Melissa as part of our team to oversee coding for both Horizon Healthcare and Fairfield Memorial Hospital,” stated Glenda Stottlemyre, RHIT, Director of Health Information.
