On Tuesday, a White County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a Red and Silver Ford F250 that had failed to signal and failed to stop at a stop sign.
Upon being pulled over, the driver, Jon Abel from Bedford, Indiana, provided the deputy with information. However, it was noted that the information did not align with the vehicle being driven. The title Abel presented was for a Maroon and Gray 1993 Ford 250, but the paperwork was incomplete, indicating an Open Title.
Abel was arrested for Open Title and Unlawful Display of Registration. Citations were also made for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle and Disobeying a Traffic Control Device.
Once at the White County Jail, during a search of Abel, police made a significant discovery. They found contraband on him, leading to additional charges being filed against him, including Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Bringing/Possessing Contraband in a Penal Institution.
