Enfield Man Arrested on Multiple Charges
An Enfield man, 45 year old Lige K. Cheek, 192 County Road 1775, was arrested on multiple charges Sunday morning, shortly after 11:30 at the Dollar General store, in Carmi.
Cheek was arrested for retail theft and then subsequently charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Cheek remained in custody Monday morning following his Sunday arrest.
Carmi police also made two warrant arrests over the weekend.
Crystal M. Boaz, 37, 107 Conger St., Carmi was picked up on a Richland County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $300 and Boaz remained in custody Monday morning.
Local police also arrested Mathew B. Lemond, 900 W. Sycamore Street, of Carmi on a Wayne County warrant for failure to appear. Lemond was then charged with resisting/obstructing a peace officer after he fled into a residence on Smith Street after officers attempted to stop him. The incident occurred just before 11 Saturday morning.
Bond was set at $150 on the resisting/obstructing charge. The Wayne County warrant bond was $500 for a total of $650. Lemond remained in custody Monday morning.
