Domestic Battery, DUI, Reckless Driving, and More Land Multiple People Behind Bars by WCSD

White County Sheriff Deputies responded to an active physical domestic call at a residence in Grayville on Thursday night.
According to the affidavit, Donald Currier was beating an individual, and multiple people were at the residence trying to intervene.
The officer observed the victim with injuries on the face, swelling of her cheek and eye, multiple bruises, and a busted lip.
Currier then yelled at officers, claiming the victim had cut him, but witnesses advised that he must have done that to himself after officers arrived.
A criminal complaint was filed by the victim, and the officer placed Currier under arrest for Domestic Battery Strangulation and Domestic Battery Physical Contact. Currier was placed at the White County Jail.

After 11 pm on Friday night, a deputy was contacted in reference to a reckless driver near Illinois Highway 141 in a grey Ford 150.
The vehicle was spotted at the intersection of 650 North and 600 East, where, according to the affidavit, the officer noticed the driver either passed out or asleep with his head out the window, and he could smell the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Norris City resident David Houser. Once Houser was alert, he was advised of what was going on and that he would need to take a breath test.
After the breath test was conducted, Houser was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and DUI BAC Over .08. Houser was later released with a notice to appear on May 28 at 9 am.

Around 10:30 pm on Saturday, an officer clocked a vehicle traveling 92 MPH on Epworth Road. The vehicle was pulled over, and the driver, Bryce Davis, was arrested for Reckless Driving.
Davis’ vehicle was towed, and a First Appearance was set for May 26 at 9 am.

White County Sheriff deputies were requested to assist Hamilton County in the arrest of Roy Rector, who fled from the scene of a physical domestic in Broughton.
It was known to officers that Rector had a revoked driver’s license and had taken off in a blue Chevrolet Silverado.
An officer observed the vehicle and a male matching Rector’s description pull into a driveway. According to the report, the officer stated Rector was argumentative and that Norris City Police Chief Dale assisted in the arrest.
Rector not only faces charges out of Hamilton County for Violation of Order of Protection, Domestic Battery, Driving while License Revoked, Illegal Squealing of Tires, and Fleeing/Eluding; he also has charges from White County for Operating a Motor Vehicle with Expired Registration, Driving while License Revoked, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver, and Resisting Arrest.
