Crossville Residents Could Win $50 Off Utility Bills as Christmas Present from Leaders

Twenty random Crossville residents are getting a Christmas present from the village.  Tuesday night, Mayor Rick Kuykendall said he wanted to give back and said with money set aside for donations, he’d like to see the village give twenty random utility customers a $50 credit on their accounts, excluding elected officials and employees.  Trustees agreed and voted unanimously to proceed.

Also Tuesday in Crossville, leaders approved a building permit for Mark Worlds to demolish and have removed a home at 605 North State Street.

During open meeting it was reported that some security cameras are on back order.  PC Doctors will be installing those as soon as they arrive.  Mayor Kuykendall said $240 was raised from the Halloween Pickleball tournament.  Additionally, Crossville Alumni donated $500 toward the purchase of a new handicap swing at Tiger Park.

Crossville’s Fire Department received a $10,000 donation from the Absher Foundation.  Fire Chief Lance Clevenger says the money will be used for equipment.

Crossville will only host one meeting next month, on December 9th.  At that gathering, Trustee Heather Guinn says she wants to talk dogs and cats.  We also expect bids for the Hahn firetruck to be opened at that time.

Trustees did go into executive session Tuesday night for about 27 minutes to discuss personnel.  There was no action following, however.
