In a meeting that beat the State of the Union by about an hour and twenty minutes, Crossville leaders approved the appointment of a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) Officer and approved a garage building permit for a resident. It took just under half an hour for trustees to work through a light agenda which included a preview of the parks committee meeting coming up March 9th at 6:30pm where the community is invited to join and solidify plans for the annual Easter festivities and also continue July 4th preparations.
The council also heard briefly from a representative from Bulldog Systems as the village’s trash service contract is up for renewal at the beginning of May. Trustees were left with a copy to review before they’re expected to vote.
Angie Phelps has been appointed to the FOIA position. She will be paid $100 for her yearly training that must be completed to fulfill the position and council agreed to pay her $25 per FOIA inquiry.
A building permit was approved for the Karen Wells property at 405 Davenport where Village President Rick Kuykendall says her grandson Jordan plans to erect a garage.
Council adjourned at 6:57pm with no executive session.
