Crime Stoppers Offering $500 Reward Following Cemetery Burglary

The White County Crime Stoppers are offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest related to a burglary that Sheriff’s Deputies say happened sometime between Tuesday morning at 8:30 and Wednesday morning at 10am.

A White County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Union Ridge Cemetery in rural Norris City Wednesday morning.  Jason Pruitt, caretaker at the property says two buildings at the cemetery property had been broken into.  Among the items taken in the burglary, a 2013 John Deere Gator with the VIN 1M0825GEADM068364.  The model number of the Gator is a JDXUV8251.  In addition, the perp(s) stole a Stihl Chainsaw, 3 Echo Weed eaters, an Echo Handheld Blower, along with several other lesser items.

The Thief or thieves were most likely familiar with the property as the incident report suggests the suspects located the video surveillance box upon breaking and entering, removed it and cut the wires running from the box to the cameras.
