Man Out on Parole Behind Bars for Same Crime; Slew of Other Charges

A man recently released on parole for violation of an Order of Protection is back behind bars this morning.  McLeansboro Police say it was just after 4am this (Monday) morning when they were dispatched to an address where the homeowner said she was watching 28-year-old Lucas Faber through a Ring camera walk inside of her residence.

Prior to officers arriving at the address, a county Sheriff’s Deputy had spotted Faber’s vehicle attempting to leave the area according to a McLeansboro Police Department release.  The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  Faber refused to pull over and led law enforcement on a pursuit during which Faber allegedly struck a McLeansboro PD vehicle on two occasions before returning to the address he’d broken into.  Officers say they had to tase Faber during his apprehension and they later learned he had an active Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.

Faber pled guilty on August 21st of 2024 to a violation of an order of protection charge and was sentenced in September of last year to 2 years in the department of corrections.  He’s now facing fresh charges of Violation of an Order of Protection, Home Invasion, Residential Burglary, Theft, Resisting Arrest, Aggravating Fleeing and Eluding, along with dozens of other traffic violations.
