
COVID cases continue to drop locally. Only 2 new cases in White County have been reported since Friday afternoon; those came yesterday in the form of a female in her 40’s and a male in his 40’s. That brings the total since the pandemic began to 1,763 positive cases in White County. The 7 day average is down to 1 new case per day in White County. At it’s peak, the county had a 24 new cases per day average. That was back on December 16th. The most cases reported in a day happened twice when White County reported 32 new cases on both December 11th and December 14th. Only four times has the county had 30 or more cases reported on a single day; three of those happened in December and the most recent was January 10th. New cases have steadily dropped since February 3rd according to data available.
