City of Carmi Government Officials Will Meet Tuesday Evening

The City of Carmi will tackle an issue they intended to during their first meeting of August tomorrow, but were unable to due to lack of getting the item in the agenda sent to print publications.  The Public Hearing is set for 5:15pm Tuesday that will allow folks to voice their opinion on the city issuing a permit to Amy Wilson-Horton and Frank Lee at 107 East Kearney.  The item was on the agenda the city sent to the radio station for their August 6th meeting, but reportedly due to it not making it into area newspapers, consideration on the subject was put off.

No other major items made the agenda.  We’ll look to see if officials have any comment on the recent arrest of City Foreman Keaton Bradshaw.  As far as we know, he’s still technically employed by the City of Carmi, though he’s on unpaid leave according to sources.  Bradshaw was arrested on August 2nd for alleged theft of government property.  The investigation that went on for more than a month alleges Bradshaw used a city issued credit card and Amazon account to purchase more than $500 worth of goods for himself.  The city has had no official response.  WROY/WRUL News will be seeking comment at the meeting.
