Carmi’s Largest Civic Organization Adds Five Members

Already Carmi’s largest civic club in numbers, the Kiwanis Club officially inducted an additional five members at their regular noon lunch meeting Thursday.  The addition brings the Kiwanis Club total up to near 80 active members.  Art Saunders handled the introductions and induction in the absence of former District 33 Lieutenant Governor Keith Hoskins, who normally takes care of formal ceremonies.

Joining the club from Botsch & Associates are Justin Dartt, Hannah Howard and Caitlin Keepes.  Bev Vaught joins the club as the First Bank Carmi branch manager and Nic Knight of Town & Country Barber Shop.

The Carmi Kiwanis Club’s mission is serving the children of the world and annually puts on the two day Corn Days celebration during the second weekend of October.  The club meets each Thursday in the basement of the White County Farm Bureau building in Carmi at noon.
