Carmi woman sentenced in White County Court Monday

In White County Court on Monday, a Carmi woman was sentenced to three years in prison according to States Attorney Denton Aud.

33 year old Sarah Brown was found guilty on one count of possession of a weapon by a felon and on one count of possession of methamphetamine. Each count received a three year sentence and they will run concurrently.

In addition, Brown was ordered to be under one year of mandatory supervised release following incarceration, and was ordered to pay all mandated fines, fees, costs, and assessments by Judge T Scott Webb.

Brown was represented by Public Defender Rhonda Blades. The case was investigated by the Carmi Police Department.
