Carmi Police receive theft, vandalism reports from Smith St

Friday morning, Sarah Brown of Carmi reported to the Police Department that on the night of March 31st, someone entered her garage on Smith Street and stole a couch cushion, a ratchet set, and three fishing poles.

Also on Friday morning, Lisa Erwin told officers that on the night of the 31st, someone broke two motion detecting flood lights on the back of her house on Smith Street.

 

Saturday morning, Carmi Police arrested 26 year old Jeimy Santos-Gallardo at his residence at 225 Steven Street for violating a no-contact order.  Santos-Gallardo was transported to the White County Jail, where he was processed and released after posting a $500 bond.

 

On Sunday, Carmi officers arrested 28 year old Sheena Garrett of Calhoun following a traffic stop on Route 1.   Garrett was taken into custody on a White County warrant for failure to appear.  Garrett was also cited for failing to stop emerging from an alley and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.  Garrett was released from the White County Jail after posting a $300 bond.
