Carmi Police make three arrests, investigate hit and run over weekend

Friday night, Carmi Police arrested 20 year old James C. Stevens at the intersection of Olive and Robinson Streets on a White County warrant for domestic battery.  Stevens was taken into custody at 10:14 pm and transported to the White County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending a court hearing.

 

Saturday afternoon, Connie Nesler of Carmi reported that someone had damaged her vehicle and left the scene.  Nesler told Carmi officers that the damage had occurred while parked in the lot at 225 N. Main Cross Street between 2:30 and 4:30 pm Saturday.

44 year old Clayton Coaliron of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police Saturday at 8:38 pm in the parking lot of the Carmi Motel on two White County warrants.  Coaliron was sought for failure to appear on charges of driving while license suspended and possession of methamphetamine.  He was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held in lieu of a $3000 bond.

Later Saturday night, Carmi Police and White County Sheriff’s Deputies served an arrest warrant on 37 year old Edward Ticer at his residence on Jessup Street for possession of methamphetamine.  Ticer was taken into custody at 10:44 pm and taken to the White County Jail.  He is being held in lieu of a $500 bond.
