The Carmi Police Department had a busy day on Tuesday. Just before 1:30 pm, officers arrested 36 year old Josiah Stover of Crossville on two White County warrants at a residence on Cherry Street. Stover was wanted for failure to register and for aggravated domestic battery. Stover was transported to the White County Jail, and is being held on a combined bond amount of $950.
At 3:50 pm, officers made contact with 27 year old Crystal Shelton at her residence on Schumaker Street and arrested her on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Shelton is being held at the White County Jail in lieu of a $300 bond.
Just after 4 pm, 21 year old Matthew Lemond of Carmi surrendered at the Carmi Police Department on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of possession of a debit card of another and theft. Lemond was turned over to the custody of Jail staff, and is being held on a $500 bond.
At 4:45 pm, officers arrested 52 year old Brenda Jolley at her residence on Renshaw on a White County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Jolley is being held at the White County Jail in lieu of a $200 bond.
Following a traffic stop at the intersection of Gilpin and 12th Streets at 5:55pm, 53 year old Rhonda Tate of Carmi was arrested for not having a valid driver’s license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle. Tate was transported to the White County Jail, and was later released after posting a $150 bond.
