Carmi Police make four arrests over weekend

Carmi Police arrested 22 year old Josette St. John of Carmi on Friday afternoon on a White County warrant.  St. John was taken into custody at 3:55 pm on 2nd Street and was transported to the White County Jail.  She was later released after posting a $150 bond.

Saturday night, Carmi officers responded to a call about a domestic altercation at Pundrakes at 9:06pm.  Upon arrival, officers questioned 43 year old Daniel Hart of Grayville, who denied a fight had taken place.  Officers did discover a baggie containing orange pills, and Hart admitted that they were his.  Hart was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.

Sunday morning, Carmi Police arrested 44 year old Larry Mayberry of Harrisburg for DUI after a traffic stop on Main Street in front of the High School.  Mayberry was observed crossing the center line several times and was pulled over at 1:27 am.  He was transported to the White County Jail, where a breath test showed a BAC of .14.  Mayberry was later released after posting a $100 bond.

Sunday afternoon, 26 year old Charley Buchanan of Carmi was arrested following a traffic stop by Carmi Police.  Buchanan was pulled over on 6th Street at 1:26 pm and was taken into custody on a White County warrant for retail theft.  She was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and littering.  Buchanan is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
