
Three Carmi men were placed under arrest over the weekend beginning with a Friday incident at the high school around 1:30. Carmi Police placed 18-year-old Kaiden Smith in custody after an altercation with a teacher according to reports. Smith is being preliminarily charged with Disorderly Conduct and was released just after 4pm with a notice to appear in White County Court on February 25th.
Carmi Police pulled over 54-year-old William Faulkner of Church Street around 9:30pm Friday night near his home. In addition to a charge of Driving on a Suspended License, Faulkner also picked up a citation for Operation of Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance. After booking, he was released just after 10:30pm with a notice to appear scheduled for February 25th.
31-year-old Joshua Tucker of Third Street will also have a court date upcoming in White County after police pulled him over just after 7:30pm Sunday. Tucker was pulled over near the intersection of Fairground and Fair Street and found to be in possession of cannabis. Tucker also received a citation for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration due to Mandatory Insurance. An hour later, Tucker was released with a Notice to Appear.
