Carmi Police are investigating damage done to two washing machines and a dryer at the apartments on Main Cross Street. Over the weekend, someone damaged the coin mechanisms and stole the coins from the machines.
At 11 am Monday, Carmi officers arrested 34 year old Ryan Slater of Carmi at his place of employment on a Colorado warrant for contempt and failure to report to jail in Eagle County. Slater is being held at the White County Jail without bond.
