The Carmi Police Department is investigating a hit and run that occurred Friday night in the parking lot behind the Elk’s Lodge on Cherry Street.
Jared Whitley of Carmi told officers that he parked his SUV in the lot around 7:30 pm and believed that a red vehicle did the damage. Whitley reported that no attempt to report the damage by the other driver was made, and signed a complaint.
