Carmi Police are investigating a car burglary reported on Saturday. Sheila Johnston of Du Quion reported that while her vehicle was parked at the Christopher Rural Health Clinic on Commerce Street, someone stole a purse, wallet, ID, iPhone, a Tracfone, lunchbox, and several credit cards.
On Sunday, 43 year old Donald Stover of Carmi surrendered at the Carmi Police Department on White County warrants for failure to appear on a charge of disorderly conduct and violating a bail bond. Stover was transferred to the White County Jail, and is being held without bond pending a court hearing.
