Carmi Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place at Rock Bottom Liquors Monday night.
At 11:26 pm, Carmi Dispatch received a 9-1-1 call and a panic alarm from Rock Bottom. Officers responded in less than a minute, and were informed that a man had just robbed the store.
Surveillance video showed a suspected white male wearing a black mask, sunglasses, a black hoodie, and blue jeans run into the building and hold the two owners at gunpoint before taking an undetermined amount of cash from the register and fleeing. The direction the suspect fled was unknown.
The scene was processed for evidence, and police are obtaining video footage from neighboring business to look for clues.
