The Carmi Police Department took a theft report on Monday afternoon concerning a vehicle break in over the weekend. Harold Pennington told officers that someone stole a .22 caliber Browning handgun and a radar detector from his truck as it was parked in the Walmart parking lot.
41 year old Donald Stover was arrested by Carmi Police on a charge of disorderly conduct early Tuesday morning following a call about a man causing a disturbance at an apartment complex. Stover was taken into custody at 4:54 am at 911 Stewart Street. Stover is being held at the White County Jail without bond pending a court hearing.
