Carmi Police have busy weekend, make several arrests

35 year old Andrew J McKenzie of Carmi was arrested by Carmi Police following a traffic stop at 3:16pm Friday.  McKenzie was pulled over at the intersection of 7th and Smith Streets and taken into custody for not having a valid driver’s license.  McKenzie was also given a citation for possession of cannabis.  He was later released from the White County Jail after posting $150 bond.

 

Friday evening, 34 year old Brandon Bebout and 25 year old Ashley Bebout, both of Crossville, surrendered themselves at the Carmi Police Department on White County body attachment warrants. Both were processed at the White County Jail and released after posting a $100 bond each.

 

Just after 9pm Friday night, Carmi officers arrested 23 year old Andrew W Newlin of Hutsonville, IL at the White County Fairgrounds on a Crawford County warrant.  Newlin was taken to the White County Jail and later released after posting a $150 bond.

 

Carmi officers responding to a call about a domestic dispute on South Church Street Sunday evening made a pair of arrests.  47 year old Robert McPeek and 47 year old Jenny McPeek were both taken into custody on charges of domestic battery and transported to the White County Jail.  Robert McPeek was released after posting a $500 bond, while Jenny McPeek remains in custody pending the posting of a $500 bond.
