Carmi Police arrested 42 year old Christopher Fields of Norris City Thursday morning for violating an order of protection.
An officer noticed Fields standing a few houses down from a home where the protected person lives, and after verifying that the order was still in place, asked the protected person if he could search the home.
Fields was discovered hiding in an attic crawlspace and was taken into custody at 11:38 am. He is being held without bond at the White County Jail.
