Carmi Police arrested 35 year old Montserrat Romero at her Fackney Street residence Monday night on a charge of aggravated domestic battery. 
Romero was taken into custody at 10:09 pm while her victim was transported to a local hospital with knife wounds to his hands.
Romero is currently housed in the White County Jail without bond pending a court appearance.
