A Carmi man was arrested Christmas night on DUI charges after an accident on Epworth Road by the White County Sheriff’s Department.
24 year old Devin Nixon-Davis told deputies he was driving east in heavy fog when he missed the curve at County Road 1450 E and crashed into a building owned by Brown’s Fertilizer and Chemical. He also admitted to texting on his phone at the time of the crash.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Don’s Bumper to Bumper. Nixon-Davis was arrested for driving under the influence. He was processed and later released from the White County Jail.
