Carmi Police arrested 26 year old James Belka of Carmi following a traffic stop Monday afternoon. Officers spotted Belka as a passenger in a pickup and took him into custody at the American Legion at 3:38 pm. Belka was wanted on a White County warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the White County Jail on a $500 bond.
