The Carmi League of Arts regrets that the scheduled performance of the stage production of “Sound of Music” for June will not happen due to the fact that Rogers and Hammerstein denied the League the rights to do the production at this time.
After much discussion by the directors, Sherry Passmore, Lynn Cantrell and Zandrea Hofenrichter, they have decided to put together a “Tribute” to “Sound of Music”. This production will include music and choreography from the original show.
Auditions were held and the following people will participate in the production. Tyler Spence, Donnie Winkleman, Scott Kittinger, Cayman Passmore, Debby Hyatt, Stephanie Raczykowski, Rachel Sinclair, Zandrea Hofenrichter, Chance Hamblin, Brittany Griffin, Grace Sinclair, Kim Spence, Josephine Hubele, Chaselyn Craig, Clara Emery, Anjelica Allen, Julie Jackson, Micaiah Norris, Ali Haley, Maaca Cantrell, Joseph Gates, Deborah Raczykowski, Mary Rose Raczykowski, Tanne Spence, Walker Sinclair and Haley Winkleman.
Maria and the Von Trapp family will be played by Tracy Orr, Scott Kiser, Kelsi Kessler, Payton Dale, Brianna Stocke, Gabe Kiser, Jasmine Allen, Laney York and Ellie Orr.
