Carmi City Council will gather for their first regular meeting of August on Tuesday. A public hearing has been called prior to that meeting for discussion of a special use mobile home permit at 107 East Kearney. It starts at 5:15pm. The regular meeting will begin 15 minutes later and aside from potential approval on that mobile home permit, there’s a lite agenda.
Amy Wilson-Horton is the woman asking for the mobile home permit on Kearney. She says it’s a 2019 Modular/Double Wide 28 feet wide by 56 feet long.
Additionally, Patrick Scates is expected to be at Tuesday’s meeting. He’ll be formally requesting South Main Cross Street to be closed on Thursday, October 10th from 5 to 10pm for a Farm to Table event.
Council members will consider a contractor application for payment regarding the Waste Water Treatment Plant sludge bed project.
And other than regular reports and updates from the mayor and committees, the only other planned discussion is what’s been labeled as Church Street Parking issues.
The public is welcome at City of Carmi meetings. If you can’t make it, don’t fret. WROY/WRUL News will be there to bring you details Wednesday morning.
