The Carmi City Council opened 2017 with a very short meeting. After approving the December 20th meeting minutes, Mayor Jeff Pollard announced that there were no items for Council consideration on the agenda, and his only report was to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Alderman Shelia Headlee reported to the Council that the preliminary budget has been completed, and has been forwarded to Keith Botsch for his approval as City CPA.
No visitors had business or comments for the Council, and the meeting went into closed session with no following action at 5:34 pm. The City Council next meets on Tuesday, January 17th at 5:30 pm.
