Carmi Council Meeting Tuesday
The Carmi City Council will meet for their first of two June meetings at 5:30 Tuesday afternoon for what appears to be a busy agenda.
The Bradshaw tennis courts will be discussed, as the city continues efforts to upgrade the courts.
A bid for sludge beds will likely be awarded, and Don Davis, foreman of the Waste Water Treatment Plant will inform the council about phosphorus removal mandated by both the state and national EPA.
David Coston, the city’s electrical engineer will again address the council concerning the Engine/Generator 11 and he will present a revision of the Electric Ordinance 1427.
Other business includes reports from Mayor Jeff Pollard the standing committees.
The council normally meets the first and third Tuesday of each month and the meetings are open to the public.
