AIDS Walk Team formed in memory of Carmi resident
Wally Paynter and Elizabeth Taylor, both of Carmi, are walking in memory of their mother Patricia Paynter in the Southern IL AIDS Walk this Saturday. The 20th annual walk is at 11am at the SIUC Newman Center, 715 S. Washington Street in Carbondale.
Each year Ms. Paynter participated, she was the top fundraiser. Very active in HIV causes, she was awarded the Steven St. Julian HIV Leadership Award 2 years ago. We walk this Saturday in her memory. Elizabeth and Wally are encouraging people to walk and to donate.
