The 3rd annual WRUL Pets RULe Pet Fair comes to Carmi this Saturday from 9am – noon at the White County Fairgrounds. Tammy Knight, president of partner organization Pets @ Risk, says more than 60 raffle baskets will be available and multiple vendors will be set up with services and opportunities for fun with your furry critters. Among them are White County CEO business Happy Hound Treat Company and C.T. Canine Training. Carmi Animal Control will be on site to microchip animals at a discounted rate of just $10 and Shasta Sullivan from Plus Pets in Carmi will be offering $5 nail trims during the event. Evil Eye Creative Studio will be set up to take groovy, summer of love themed pet pictures as well as numerous other opportunities. Face painting will be offered and food will be available thanks to Kenny Hargrave’s 5th Street Food Truck.
The Pet Fair continues to grow year by year and helps Pets @ Risk make a dent in overpopulation by getting animals spayed and neutered, helping get animals adopted, providing pet food for animals at risk, and assistance with emergency medical situations. The event will be held rain or shine and will be held in and around the Floral Hall.
