Newburgh Man to Spend Twelve Years in the IDOC

A 37-year-old Newburgh man will spend a dozen years in the Indiana Department of Corrections.
Justin Eoff appeared in the Posey County Circuit Court on Tuesday afternoon, where Judge Craig Goedde sentenced him to twelve years in prison after being convicted of charges including two counts of stalking, six counts of invasion of privacy, and intimidation.
As part of his guilty plea, Eoff admitted to stalking and threatening to harm an ex-girlfriend in violation of the court’s no-contact order.
Back in January 2025, law enforcement received information that Eoff had violated the no-contact order issued by the court for his ex-girlfriend. An investigation was conducted by the Mt. Vernon Police Department, where it was revealed that Eoff had been harassing and threatening the victim. Those included photographs of homes that belonged to the victim and her family, as well as comments that he had placed tracking devices on her vehicle.
Other information was found indicating that Eoff was on electronic monitoring while serving a sentence in another criminal case at the time. GPS collected at that time showed proof that Eoff had visited the areas and violated the order of protection.
Posey County Prosecutor Thomas Clowers commented,
“Stalking and intimidation offenses are particularly concerning because of the obsessive nature of the behavior and the volatility these offenders can present. I am grateful for the outstanding work of Detective Skylar Turner and Chief Deputy Prosecutor Georgianne Mastison, whose dedication helped secure this conviction and sentence. We also commend the survivor for the courage and perseverance shown throughout this difficult process.”
