Jewell “Junior” Eugene Pearce, 89, of Eldorado, IL passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, IL.  Junior was born on June 25, 1935 in Dahlgren, IL to Jewell Pearce Sr. & Lela (Mitchell) Pearce.

  Anna Sneed, 83, of Carmi, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, Kentucky. She was born on April 19, 1941, in Warrick County, Indiana, the daughter of Claude and Dorothy (Hart) Julian. Anna cleaned houses for many years. She was a member of Marshall Ferry General Baptist Church. Anna enjoyed watching game shows and spending time with family.

Ivy Jean (Moore) Elliston, 64, of Mt. Vernon, IL passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at her home in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Ivy was born on January 10, 1960 in Carmi, IL to Patrick Joseph Moore & Gerri (Loehr) Moore. 

 Carmen Munsey Bruce, 80, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024. She was born July 11, 1944, to Robert M. Munsey and Blanche Irene Catlin Munsey in Carmi, Illinois.

Caroline G. Bowling, 91, of McLeansboro, IL passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.  Caroline was born April 14, 1933 to F.L. “Cappy” and Winnie Aydt of Dahlgren, IL.  On January 10, 1952 she married James “Jim” Bowling who preceded her in death on November 2, 1980.

John A. Pyle, 70, of Carmi, Illinois, died Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born April 27, 1954, in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Wilbur and Jean (York) Pyle. He was married to Brenda (Gwaltney) Pyle, and she survives.

Jeanette Sue Lager, age 82 and resident of Muddy, IL, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her residence.

Jacqueline Lynn ( Jackie ) Casteel, age 68

Jackie passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024 at her residence in McLeansboro, IL

  Charles Joseph “Charlie” Pfister, 83, of Naples, Florida, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, Illinois. He was born on February 05,1941, in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Glen Benjamin and Emma Louise (Smith) Pfister. Charlie married Margaret Agnes “Margie” Goebel on August 17, 1963, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway, IL, and she survives. Charlie was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Naples, Florida and previously a member at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi. Charlie served as president on the White County Farm Bureau and served as director on the Wabash Valley Service Company board as well. Charlie was very active in his church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

Emma Lou Smith, 77, passed from this life to the next on July 12, 2024, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
