The Young Leader Committee of the White County Farm Bureau is pleased to continue their financial assistance to the agricultural youth of White County. Since 2006, the Young Leader Committee has awarded $8,250 to 14 deserving students.
For 2017, the committee is sponsoring a $500 collegiate scholarship to be awarded to a student majoring in an ag-related field of study for the fall 2017 semester. Students may download the application by visiting the organization’s website at www.whitecfb.com.
The scholarship winner will be chosen based on academics, leadership potential, career goals, and financial need. The deadline to submit applications is March 1, 2017 with the winner being notified during the high school awards ceremonies or by letter.
The Young Leader Committee is made up of farmers and associate members ages 18 to 35 who volunteer to support self-improvement, family, political, business, and networking programs for young farmers in the county.
