In the hopes of connecting pets in need with loving forever homes, WROY and WRUL Radio have launched a new Pet of the Week Feature in cooperation with State Farm Agent Dave Matheny. Weekly, a displaced animal that’s being temporarily homed at the Carmi or White County Animal Shelter, Pets at Risk, or Katz Kennels in Norris City will be featured prominently via the WRUL facebook page and the Pets section of wrul.com along with important information on the pet and adoption details.
The first animal featured is Athena Rose. She’s estimated at 5 to 6 years old and was a stray that was picked up. She’s described as a little shy, but friendly and good natured. She’s about 35 pounds, has been spayed and there’s no fee to adopt her. Find pictures and additional information on the WRUL 97.3 facebook page.
