An email obtained by WROY/WRUL News implies that no charges will be filed against now Wayne County Assistant States Attorney Rhonda Blades. The email correspondence is dated May 8th and in it, it’s indicated that Chief Judge William Thurston was called by special prosecutor and Williamson County States Attorney Ted Hampson to let him know he was submitting documentation stating he would not file charges.
It closes a case 623 days, nearly 90 weeks after the local attorney allegedly shot and killed a dog that bit a neighbor’s 11-year-old boy. It was October of 2023 when the incident occurred.
