White County Sheriff’s Department Makes Two FTA Arrests; Another on Traffic Violation

A 62-year-old man listed as homeless is currently housed in the White County Jail following his arrest Thursday afternoon by White County Sheriff’s authorities.  Lewis Richardson is being held on local charges according to the report as well as a Failure to Appear charge out of Gallatin County related to a Failure to Register as a Sex Offender charge that dates back to November of last year.  Richardson failed to appear in Gallatin County court according to online records on May 11th for a preliminary hearing.  His next court date isn’t currently listed.

 

Demerius Montgomery mugshotWednesday afternoon, a White County deputy responded to the White County probation office and served 23-year-old Demerius Montgomery of Olney with a Failure to Appear warrant.  That warrant is related to a May 7th of this year charge of Possession of Meth.  Montgomery wasn’t in court for his July 6th hearing according to online court documents resulting in the warrant.  Montgomery was available for his July 9th court appearance from the White County Jail via zoom.  His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 3rd and Mongtomery was subsequently released.

 

White County law enforcement pulled over 60-year-old Steven Garrett of Enfield Thursday evening around 6:30pm in the man’s hometown. Steven Garrett mugshot The deputy says he observed a green Honda Rancher traveling west on Main Street prompting the traffic stop.  When running Garrett’s information, the report indicates Garrett’s license came back revoked resulting in arrest.  Garrett was transported to the jail, booked, and released with a first appearance court date set for August 11th.
