The White County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a mower from Hillyard Sales and Service that was reported Wednesday morning. Kristie Hillyard reported to deputies that on June 10th, a Scag Cheetah model mower valued at $8,800 was noticed missing from their inventory. The business conducted a long check of its whereabouts, but was unable to locate it.
At 4:33pm Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a broken window at the Crossville Community Club building. Jeffrey Spencer told deputies that the window on an entrance door had been broken out overnight, but Spencer did not believe anyone had entered the building.
