Eighteen individuals are still in the recovery phase of CoVid-19 in White County. That according to new data released by the Egyptian Health Department. White County hasn’t had a new positive lab confirmed case since May 31st. White County reported just 21 new cases during the month of May and is currently sporting a 7 day average of 0 new cases for the first time since the pandemic began. That said, still less than 29% of the county’s eligible residents are fully vaccinated. 65% of the county’s age 65 plus population is fully vaccinated, but only 25% of adults age 16-64 have gotten the shot(s). Nearly every surrounding county has a lower percentage than that for fully vaccinated folks. Hamilton County is less than 23%, Wayne is less than 26.5%, and Edwards is at 24.5% on the nose. Wabash, Gallatin, and Saline Counties are all just over 30%. The state is at 44.26% fully vaccinated.
