A Carmi man won’t be seeing any jail time, unless he disobeys the judge’s orders.
During White County court on Thursday, 61-year-old William Holloman entered into a plea agreement and only pleaded guilty to one of the four charges he was facing.
Unlawful use of property will give Holloman four years, only if the defendant stays clean and out of trouble. The Honorable Judge T. Scott Webb stated that if Holloman fails, he will be sentenced to a Class 2 Felony, which will result in a sentence of 3-7 or 7-14 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The other three charges that were dismissed were possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a syringe.
Holloman will have his sentencing hearing on September 14 at 1 p.m. He was released after his court appearance.
