Wayne County Crash Sends Two to Hospital
A single vehicle crash on Interstate 64, Sunday night, sent two people to Fairfield Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
According to the Illinois State Police accident report, 61 year old Debora A. Krieg of Henderson, Ky., and her 10 year old passenger from Fairfield were transported by ambulance to the hospital after Krieg’s vehicle hit a deer near Mile Marker 110 on Interstate 64 in Wayne County. Both Krieg and her passenger were wearing their seatbelts.
Krieg’s vehicle was towed from the scene following the 8:35 collision.
State police were assisted by Wayne County Ambulance Service, Fairfield Rural Fire Department and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
