On Thursday, a White County Sheriff’s Sergeant served a warrant on an individual who was in court at the White County Courthouse.
James Smith was escorted to the White County Jail for violating an order of protection placed against him.
He went before a judge later in the day on Thursday, was given an Arraignment date of July 30, and then released.
Then on Sunday, White County Sheriff’s deputies served an order of protection at the home of George Winerberger. The officer then advised him of an active book-and-release warrant in White County.
Winerberger was arrested on a warrant for charges that occurred on June 15. His charges consist of: aggravated battery of a victim 60+, criminal damage to property, reckless driving, aggravated assault of a handicapped person 60+, and criminal trespass to land.
