Two women were sentenced in White County Court Wednesday to IDOC custody according to States Attorney Denton Aud.
48 year old Gina D Cox of Marion, Kentucky was sentenced to four and a half years in prison on a charge of forgery. In addition, Judge T Scott Webb sentenced Cox to one year of mandatory supervised release following incarceration, and ordered her to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs, and assessments, as well as to make restitution to the Casey’s General Store in Carmi. The Carmi Police Department conducted the investigation.
35 year old Jennifer Adcock of Carmi was sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of possession of a weapon by a felon and to two years on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. The two sentences will run concurrently. Judge T Scott Webb also ordered Adcock to pay all mandatory fines, fees, costs and assessments, and Adcock will be under one year of mandatory supervised release following incarceration. Public Defender Brian Shinkle represented Adcock, and the case was also investigated by the Carmi Police Department.
