
Two White County warrants led to the arrest of a local Carmi woman.
Carmi Police observed 35-year-old Emily Madden driving and knew of her two active warrants. Officers conducted a traffic stop where they placed Madden under arrest.
Madden’s two warrants cover a slew of charges: Criminal Damage to Property $500-$10,000, two counts of Criminal Damage to Property less than $500, Failure to Notify Damage, Reckless Conduct, and Arson.
Following her arrest, Madden was transported to the White County Jail and was later released.

In another case that same day, Carmi Police were contacted regarding a domestic dispute at a residence on Gilpin Street.
Police arrested Cassidie Smith for Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct at the Gilpin Street residence. Officers took her to White County Jail, where she awaited a judge. On Tuesday morning, she appeared before Judge T. Scott Webb, who scheduled her Arraignment for June 10 at 9:30 am.
